What you will do

• Assist in annual risk assessments and develop risk-based audit plans.
• Evaluate internal controls, governance, and risk management processes.
• Perform walkthroughs, test controls over financial reporting, and provide recommendations.
• Execute operational audits, manage issue communication, and monitor resolutions.
• Collaborate with business partners on changes, risks, and growth targets.
• Present findings to senior management and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Experience in Internal Audit or Public Accounting post-qualification, preferably in London Market or general insurance.
• Professional certification (CIA, CA/ACA, CPA) highly encouraged.
• Strong knowledge of insurance risk, underwriting, claims, finance, regulatory compliance, Global Internal Audit Standards, Solvency II, IFRS 17, Lloyd’s principles.
• Experience assessing internal controls design and effectiveness, preference for SOX and PCAOB standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Right to work in the UK.

• Experience in data analytics for audits.
• Exposure to technology and operational risk audits in insurance.
• Understanding of emerging risks (AI in insurance, ESG, cyber).
