Laboratory Technician - Hardlines Lab - Furniture

Location: Fairfield, New Jersey, USA; full-time onsite role

Salary: $21.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Review furniture product packaging and labels for regulatory compliance.
• Prepare accurate, clear, and compliant test reports in Microsoft Word.
• Compare reports with client SOPs and review them for consistency, formatting, completeness, and validity.
• Collaborate with customer service, technical teams, and laboratory managers to interpret findings and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and records in line with accreditation procedures.
• Support job tracking, file management, and other laboratory administrative operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, scientific writing, or a related scientific field is preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory or technical writing role.
• Familiarity with standard operating procedures and laboratory documentation.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills, independent working ability, and the capacity to work under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with SharePoint or document management systems.
