Field CTO (RSA ID Plus)

Location: United States (Remote); up to 30% travel required. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Salary: $170,000–$270,000 per year, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Advise CISOs, CIOs, enterprise architects, and strategic customers on identity strategy, zero trust architecture, and modernization roadmaps.
• Represent RSA ID Plus through keynotes, conference sessions, webinars, whitepapers, executive briefings, and analyst engagements.
• Support complex enterprise sales cycles with Sales and Solution Architecture by resolving technical obstacles and influencing architectural decisions.
• Analyze competitors and translate technical differentiation into effective field positioning and messaging.
• Partner with Product Management and Product Marketing to shape platform strategy and long-range planning.
• Enable and mentor solution architects and sales engineers through architecture guidance and technical training.

Requirements

• 12+ years in senior technical roles such as Field CTO, Chief Architect, Principal Solution Architect, or Security Strategist, including extensive customer-facing experience.
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, including NIST SP800-63, FIDO2, X.509, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SSF, and Verifiable Credentials.
• Experience designing and defending enterprise security architectures across SaaS, private cloud, on-premises, and air-gapped environments.
• Executive presence and commercial acumen, with experience advising CISOs and CIOs and influencing complex enterprise sales cycles without owning a quota.
• Established industry voice through conference speaking, published thought leadership, analyst engagement, or standards body participation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science; advanced degree is a plus.
