Security Operations Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $218,420–$273,360 CAD per year

What you will do

• Manage devices, MDM policies, BYOD, patching, vulnerabilities, troubleshooting, and operating systems across macOS, Linux, and Windows.
• Support key platforms including Google Workspace, Jira, and GitHub.
• Automate security and IT processes such as self-service access and patching.
• Manage access through OIDC, SAML, and SCIM, as well as data loss prevention and mitigation.
• Oversee technology decisions with Engineering Leadership and align them with company-wide IT standards.

Requirements

• Experience in security operations or an adjacent technical role, such as identity and access management, endpoint security, data loss prevention, SOC, or IT engineering and operations.
• Knowledge of operating systems, security mechanisms, networking protocols, and authentication and user-management protocols.
• Knowledge of Google Workspace Security and Device Management.
• Experience with MDM products such as Jamf, Kandji, Fleet, or Intune.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, give and process constructive feedback, and adapt to a startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira workflows and automation.
• Application or infrastructure security experience.
• Go, Python, or Bash scripting skills.
