Senior Advisor, Cybersecurity

Location: Remote (United States); US citizenship and presence on US soil required.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year, plus potential annual discretionary bonuses for eligible full-time US employees.

What you will do

• Provide second-level incident response support and serve as a security subject-matter expert in a shared on-call rotation with a third-party SOC.
• Operate and tune SIEM, SOAR, XDR/EDR, WAF, and next-generation firewall tooling to improve detection quality and reduce noise.
• Apply identity-centric and Zero Trust controls, including MFA, authentication, authorization, and least-privilege access, with IT platform and product teams.
• Advise engineering on secure-by-design practices across product and R&D lifecycles, including data and AI services.
• Investigate security systems, automate recurring tasks with scripting or AI agents, and develop documentation, runbooks, and metrics.
• Present security findings to technical and non-technical audiences, bridge communication across teams, and mentor colleagues.

Requirements

• 6–10 years of related cybersecurity operations experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years with a master’s degree.
• Hands-on production experience with security technologies in Azure and/or AWS public cloud and on-premises environments.
• Experience with vulnerability management, SIEM and logging, WAF, network segmentation, security groups, system hardening/STIG, malware prevention, and incident response.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management and Zero Trust, including MFA, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, directory services, and least-privilege access.
• Strong networking knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Must be a US citizen, located on US soil, and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience securing customer-facing SaaS, federal or regulated environments, and familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, NIST, or CSA frameworks.
• Experience with product and R&D security, DevSecOps, container and Kubernetes security, infrastructure-as-code scanning, and secrets management.
• Familiarity with AI/ML workload security, AI-enabled tools, AI-driven threats, threat hunting, or red teaming.
• Cloud or identity certifications and demonstrated leadership in cloud or security operations initiatives.
