Syndicates Financial Controller (Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead the Syndicate Finance team for Talbot’s managed Lloyd’s syndicates.
• Deliver US GAAP reporting to hirify.global, including SAP ledger close, and UK GAAP Lloyd’s reporting.
• Prepare solvency, international, tax, and other required Lloyd’s regulatory returns.
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors, for syndicate financial reporting.
• Drive finance close and control enhancements and own syndicate finance SOX controls and data governance activities.
• Act as a key finance systems stakeholder and attend Audit and Reserve Committees.

Requirements

• At least five years of post-qualification experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience with Lloyd’s and with leading a finance team.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, Solvency UK, Lloyd’s reporting rules, accounting, and processes.
• Strong understanding of financial processes and controls.
• Good team management, communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
• Good IT skills, including general ledgers, data warehouses, and Microsoft applications.
