Right of Way Assistant Project Manager (Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Support project managers and leads with planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and client communications for right of way projects.
• Coordinate acquisition agents, title specialists, surveyors, appraisers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, parcel status, deliverables, milestones, risks, and corrective actions.
• Track budgets, forecasts, invoicing, change management, resource planning, and workload coordination.
• Prepare project reports, status updates, meeting summaries, and client-facing documentation.
• Support landowner engagement, property-rights acquisition, easements, access agreements, quality reviews, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of related experience.
• Strong organizational, project management, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with design teams, clients, acquisition teams, and other project stakeholders.
• Understanding of right of way services and property-rights acquisition for complex infrastructure projects.
• Preference is given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic area, including Virginia, Maryland, or Washington, DC.

Nice to have

• IRWA certification or progress toward professional right of way credentials.
• Experience with electric transmission, distribution, renewable energy, transportation, pipeline, telecommunications, or public infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing acquisition programs, coordinating field staff, or overseeing consultant performance.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to right of way acquisition and property rights.
