TL;DR
Licensed Fluoroscopy Technician (ESWL): Preparing and operating lithotripsy and fluoroscopy equipment for ESWL procedures at hospital and clinical sites with an accent on patient safety, radiographic positioning, equipment compliance, and accurate medical records. Focus on assisting urologists during procedures, maintaining mobile equipment, meeting California licensing and USDOT requirements, and supporting scheduled and on-call cases.

Location: Burbank District, Burbank, California; additional location in Fullerton District/COE. Full-time onsite work with travel within or outside the assigned region and occasional overnight travel required.

What you will do

  • Prepare, operate, and monitor lithotripsy and fluoroscopy equipment during ESWL procedures under physician supervision.
  • Assist urologists with identifying calculi, positioning patients, and selecting appropriate technical factors for patients of all ages.
  • Maintain patient safety, minimize radiation exposure, and comply with hospital, infection-control, regulatory, and safety procedures.
  • Inspect, set up, break down, load, unload, and transport mobile equipment and supplies; report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate patient, fluoroscopy, treatment, equipment, vehicle, scheduling, billing, inventory, and purchase-order records.
  • Support scheduled surgical cases, weekday and weekend on-call rotations, staff cross-training, and communication with physicians, hospital staff, and scheduling teams.

Requirements

  • College degree and completion of an AMA-approved radiologic technologist training program.
  • Current ARRT registration in good standing and appropriate state licenses; a California Fluoro license is required for California residents.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association; training may be provided if needed.
  • Annual TB screening, current HIPAA training, and completion of company regulatory courses.
  • Must meet USDOT driver requirements and maintain a safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 75 pounds, load and unload equipment, and perform repetitive bending and reaching.
