What you will do

  • Perform diagnostic PET/CT imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast injection, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, patient positioning, image reconstruction, filming, network transfers, and archiving.
  • Coordinate with the medical director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, maintenance needs, and quality assurance.
  • Support procedure scheduling, front-office workflow, patient demographic verification, report distribution, and patient-file accuracy.
  • Maintain patient films and imaging data through printing, retrieval, archiving, tracking, logging, and external film requests.
  • Apply patient and staff safety standards, conduct daily scanner quality-control checks, and report equipment malfunctions.
  • Recognize IV contrast contraindications and reactions and follow the required response procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an AMA-accredited program, or a degree in Radiologic Technology with PET/CT certification.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification, with state licensure where applicable.
  • Level 1: three to five years of nuclear medicine or previous PET experience is preferred.
  • Level 2: at least five years of nuclear medicine experience, including two years of PET or nuclear medicine experience.
  • Senior level: bachelor's degree and at least four years of nuclear medicine PET experience.
  • General knowledge of patient scheduling and billing systems, along with customer focus, quality orientation, and collaboration skills.
