Quality Manager - Machining & Heat Treat (Manufacturing)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $103,200–$144,000 annually, plus an eligible annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Lead the professional quality team and set cross-functional safety, quality, and operational goals.
• Deploy team resources, conduct performance and pay reviews, and make staffing decisions.
• Drive quality culture, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and product integrity across the value chain.
• Provide technical guidance on product and process control issues, manufacturing techniques, and quality systems.
• Use data, policies, procedures, and business plans to address resource and operational challenges.
• Lead on the shop floor and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience in machining or related manufacturing environments and quality management.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-ups, datums, manufacturing processes, heat treating, and metallurgical principles.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001, PPAP, inspection techniques, metrology, blueprint reading, routings, SPC, and shop practices.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Power BI, SharePoint, Teamcenter, Oracle, and quality data systems.
• Strong communication, team-building, problem-solving, organizational, and people-leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in a Quality Engineering role.
• Two or more years in a people or technical leadership role.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification, ASQ certification, and experience with calibration, measurement systems, metallurgical testing, and heat-treat systems.
