TL;DR

Location: Kirkland, Quebec, Canada. Work is performed primarily in an office and manufacturing environment, with occasional presence at customer sites and approximately 35% domestic and international travel.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a technical engineering team while supporting workforce planning, resource allocation, and a safe work environment.
  • Drive product design, sustaining engineering, and end-to-end New Product Introduction across the product lifecycle.
  • Maintain engineering design documentation, design change management processes, ERP data integrity, and core engineering competencies.
  • Apply advanced engineering tools and methodologies, including 3D modeling, FEA, mechanization, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Improve manufacturing processes with operations and suppliers, including automation, process improvement, value engineering, cost optimization, and inventory efficiency.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and global engineering activities, monitor quality, cost, delivery, budgets, and project performance, and present technical and business updates to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; a master’s degree in science or engineering is preferred.
  • At least 9 years of experience or significant experience leading highly technical employees.
  • Strong technical knowledge of product and manufacturing domains, including 3D modeling and mechanical, electrical, and thermal FEA.
  • Knowledge of regional specifications, standards, certification requirements, export controls, fair trade practices, and anti-bribery regulations.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand both French and English.
  • Employment is subject to a Canadian Controlled Goods Program security assessment, including verification of citizenship or permanent resident status and security checks. The role also requires the ability to work in office and manufacturing environments and handle physical requirements such as extended sitting, movement through facilities, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
