RN Outpatient Oncology/ Infusion

What you will do

• Assess patients, review medical history and clinical data, and report findings to providers.
• Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and document continuity of care for oncology patients.
• Prepare and administer medications, blood products, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy under physician supervision.
• Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, maintain central lines, and manage infusion pumps where applicable.
• Educate and support patients and families, including symptom management and home infusion pump use.
• Coordinate appointments, referrals, diagnostic procedures, patient flow, refill requests, and communication with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and completion of continuing education requirements.
• 3–5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology preferred.
• Ability to handle cytotoxic agents, biohazardous waste, and other hazards found in an oncology clinic.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs.

Nice to have

• Oncology certification.
• Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card.
• Experience in infusion, transplant, radiation oncology, or gynecological oncology.
