Oncology Infusion Nurse Consultant

Location: United States; onsite and remote consulting services with nationwide travel to practices

What you will do

• Provide consulting and operational support to outpatient oncology infusion centers.
• Assess infusion workflows and implement improvements focused on patient safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
• Support ONCOEMR workflow design, implementation, adoption, upgrades, conversions, and go-live activities.
• Train infusion staff on chemotherapy administration, symptom management, clinical documentation, and infusion best practices.
• Collaborate with pharmacy, clinical, and operational leaders on equipment, medication administration, quality improvement, audits, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing with a current unrestricted RN license in the home state.
• BSN- or master's-prepared RN.
• Extensive experience in ambulatory oncology or infusion center operations, including strong knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration.
• ONCOEMR experience is required.
• At least 3 years of management or leadership experience in an outpatient oncology setting.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, independent problem-solving, and process-improvement skills; attendance is an essential job function.

Nice to have

• OCN certification.
• Charge nurse or nursing management experience.
• Experience working across multiple clinical sites within a healthcare structure.
