FAE - Senior Field Applications Engineer (AI & Vision Specialist)

Location: Seoul, South Korea; onsite full-time role

What you will do

• Provide technical support for integrating Microchip solutions and Hailo NPU/VPU technologies into customer applications.
• Help customers quantize, compile, and optimize deep learning models including YOLO, ResNet, and Transformer-based models using the Hailo Dataflow Compiler and HailoRT runtime.
• Optimize AI acceleration performance, including frame rates, memory bandwidth, and power consumption on MPU- and processor-based platforms.
• Support embedded Linux driver porting and system integration across Kernel, Yocto, PCIe, and USB environments.
• Design, debug, and optimize vision and video processing solutions and GStreamer-based pipelines.
• Lead technical workshops, seminars, and demonstrations while collaborating with global Business Unit and headquarters engineering teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in embedded systems, Edge AI, AI hardware, VPU/Vision Processing, or related technical development and support.
• Experience developing or supporting AI, computer vision, or AI acceleration solutions.
• Ability to understand English technical documentation and communicate with headquarters engineers and global technical teams.
• Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with NVIDIA TensorRT, DeepStream, Intel OpenVINO, or Korean NPU company SDKs.
• Experience designing GStreamer pipelines and custom plugins, or working with OpenCV and FFmpeg.
• Experience converting H.264 and H.265/HEVC codec output into input tensors for NPU processing.
• Experience collaborating with global headquarters or overseas engineering teams and supporting multiple customers.
