Senior Staff Firmware Engineer, Firmware Engineering

Location: Seoul, South Korea; onsite at the Seoul office

What you will do

• Analyze system specifications, firmware requirements, and memory requirements.
• Understand and contribute to NAND firmware architecture and algorithms.
• Design and implement creative test scenarios for firmware development, deployment, and validation.
• Ensure firmware meets product quality and performance specifications.
• Lead reviews with program members and update quality standards when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electronics engineering, or an equivalent field.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in software quality development or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, Python, data structures, and algorithms.
• Strong problem-solving skills, complexity analysis ability, and capacity to learn complex firmware, hardware, systems, tools, and methodologies quickly.
• Experience as a software designer or software lead, with the ability to manage projects and deliver commitments on schedule.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with ARM or ARC microcontroller architecture, embedded systems, and RTOS.
• Knowledge of SAS, SATA, and PCIe interfaces.
• Experience with bus analyzers, emulators, and firmware debugging tools.
• Knowledge of data analytics, data visualization, or machine learning.
• Experience with Scrum leadership or Agile practices.
