Senior Security Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Structured hybrid in West Los Angeles, California, with at least three days per week in the office. Candidates must currently reside in West Los Angeles, CA and be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.

Salary: $104,900–$157,300 per year

What you will do

• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Administer and optimize vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection systems.
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds and triage security alerts by severity and business impact.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Application teams to remediate security risks.
• Support incident response and forensic investigations.
• Maintain security documentation, report vulnerability metrics, and contribute to security architecture reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in cybersecurity or information security engineering.
• Experience with vulnerability management tools such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
• Experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Sentinel and EDR solutions such as CrowdStrike or Carbon Black.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and cloud security, including AWS IAM, VPCs, and security groups.
• Knowledge of Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and analysis, plus familiarity with PCI DSS, SOC 2, and NIST frameworks.
