Corporate Sector Strategist

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working

What you will do

• Analyse investment-grade corporate issuers across specific sectors, including real estate.
• Contribute to fundamental company and sector credit research.
• Develop and communicate clear, opinionated sector and investment stories.
• Generate actionable credit market insights for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Use AI and data analysis to improve research efficiency and generate deeper insights.
• Collaborate with Wholesale Banking, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets trading and sales, and sector teams.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience in credit research or a similar field.
• University degree at Master’s level in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a comparable discipline.
• Understanding of company fundamentals, financial statements, credit metrics and rating methodologies.
• Good knowledge of bond markets and different bond products.
• Strong data skills and ability to apply AI for data sourcing and analysis, including critical validation of AI-generated insights.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint and AI tool skills, with basic programming knowledge such as Python; excellent written and verbal English communication.
