What you will do

• Take and record residents’ vital signs, height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
• Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents; provide skin care and nursing rehabilitation or restorative nursing services.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and promptly report resident issues or concerns to a supervisor.
• Contribute to resident assessments and care plans while providing emotional and social support.
• Protect resident rights, dignity, independence, confidentiality, personal belongings, and freedom of choice.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of clinical or nursing experience.
• CNA licensure is required where mandated by state regulations.
• Acceptable English proficiency is required to perform duties, communicate with supervisors and coworkers, and respond to emergencies.
• Basic computer skills and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team while handling multiple tasks.
