Facilities Technician

Location: Fully onsite at hirify.global, Ystrad Mynach, UK

What you will do

• Perform general building and site maintenance, including repairs and modifications to facilities and equipment.
• Support engineering activities such as services and LEV installations, electrical wiring, and service installations.
• Coordinate with contractors to support successful project completion.
• Maintain risk assessments, work instructions, drawings, sketches, calculations, records, and updates in the Pirana management system.
• Support continuous improvement, 5S, lean, and HS&E practices across the site.
• Keep work areas clean and organised to support manufacturing operations.

Requirements

• Experience in basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical installations.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in a craft skill, or a completed or ongoing craft apprenticeship.
• Strong practical, problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
• Experience with site PPMs and competence with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with HS&E practices and knowledge of 5S and lean principles.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Nice to have

• PASMA qualification.
• IPAF qualification.
• Forklift truck qualification.
