TL;DR
Environmental Compliance and Oversight Specialist (Environmental Compliance): Supporting RCRA, CERCLA, and NEPA compliance, environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, and compliance oversight in a high-stakes nuclear cleanup environment with an accent on environmental remediation, regulatory interpretation, and data QA/QC. Focus on producing regulator-ready compliance packages, safeguarding worker and environmental requirements, and supporting DOE Hanford Field Office program activities.

Location: Predominantly onsite at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington, with some remote support permitted as approved by the Contracting Officer.

Employment type: Full-time. The engagement may be structured as a contingent contract, contract W-2, or IRS-1099 arrangement, with the possibility of conversion to a hirify.global W-2 position.

What you will do

  • Support RCRA, CERCLA, and NEPA compliance activities.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and regulatory reporting.
  • Provide environmental compliance oversight for DOE Environmental Management and Hanford Field Office programs.
  • Interpret regulations and perform data quality assurance and quality control.
  • Produce regulator-ready compliance packages.
  • Support Environment, Safety and Health and Quality Assurance program activities.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of environmental compliance or remediation experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering.
  • HAZWOPER qualification.
  • Experience with regulatory interpretation and data QA/QC.
  • Risk awareness and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work at the Hanford Field Office and Hanford Site in Richland, Washington; facility or DOE clearance may be required for classified work.
