Quality Assurance Engineer (Aerospace)

hirify.global’s Science and Space division supports Axiom Space and its Safety and Mission Assurance department in delivering aerospace products and operations that meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain quality procedures, inspection standards, and quality system documentation.
• Lead root-cause investigations using 5 Whys, Fishbone, and 8D methods.
• Support corrective and preventive action activities and track nonconformance closure.
• Conduct internal audits and support external, customer, and regulatory audits.
• Analyze quality data and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing, procurement, and operations to resolve material and process issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of quality engineering or quality assurance experience, preferably in aerospace or another regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, audit processes, and corrective action systems.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED with 7+ years of quality assurance experience, or a Bachelor of Science in engineering or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with supplier quality, process improvement, or process development.
• ASQ certification such as CQE or CQA.
