Quality Assurance Engineer (Aerospace): Leading customer- and program-focused quality activities across aerospace and defense programs with an accent on first article inspection, supplier quality, process validation, and corrective action. Focus on investigating root causes, resolving quality issues across manufacturing and suppliers, analyzing quality data, and driving Lean and Six Sigma improvements.
Location: 100% onsite in Chandler, Arizona, United States. Travel is minimal, generally approximately 5% or less. U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government export control requirements.

What you will do
- Own quality performance for assigned aerospace and defense customer and program portfolios.
- Review proposals, statements of work, customer requirements, and program documentation for quality, regulatory, and contractual alignment.
- Coordinate quality issue resolution across customers, manufacturing, engineering, operations, procurement, and suppliers.
- Support AS9102 first article readiness and execution, supplier quality requirements, process validation, control plans, inspection instructions, and quality records.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions using methods such as 5 Why, Fishbone, CAPA, 8D, and Apollo.
- Analyze quality data, communicate risks and corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant quality engineering experience may be considered.
- At least 3 years of hands-on Quality Engineering experience required; 5 or more years preferred.
- Aerospace and defense quality experience is strongly preferred; regulated manufacturing experience in medical devices or automotive may also be considered.
- Experience with customer-facing quality activities, manufacturing process validation, control plans, inspection methods, quality records, and corrective actions.
- Working knowledge of AS9100, AS9102/First Article Inspection, GD&T, FMEA, process capability/Cpk, Lean, or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen for employment under the stated export control requirement.
