Payroll Manager

Location: Canton, Ohio, United States. The preferred arrangement is onsite, with flexibility for the right candidate; travel to the client site is required during the first two weeks and periodically afterward.

What you will do

• Lead and oversee end-to-end payroll operations and full payroll cycles.
• Supervise and support a team of Payroll Associates.
• Perform or oversee payroll reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve payroll issues.
• Manage payroll tax filings, garnishments, and federal, state, and local compliance requirements.
• Support payroll audits and maintain documentation, analysis, SOX alignment, and internal controls.
• Partner with HR, Accounting, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve communication.

Requirements

• Significant experience managing end-to-end payroll operations at Payroll Manager or comparable leadership level.
• Previous experience supervising payroll staff.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliations, payroll taxes, garnishments, and payroll compliance.
• Experience with SAP and ADP.
• Strong problem-solving, issue-resolution, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Availability to work 40–45 hours per week for the duration of the engagement and travel to Canton, Ohio, especially during the first two weeks.
