Senior Applications Engineer (Power Management)

What you will do

• Lead product promotion, design-in activities, power tree architecture, and power delivery system debugging.
• Define differentiated DC-DC and multiphase power products based on technical requirements and market needs.
• Review schematics and PCB layouts for internal evaluation boards and customer designs.
• Develop and execute power converter circuit and system simulations to resolve technical issues.
• Provide technical support, training, root-cause analysis, and debugging for field teams and customer engineering groups.
• Author application notes and design guidelines and conduct competitive market research.

Requirements

• BSEE or BSECE with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an MSEE with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with power ICs, MOSFETs, control loops, digital controllers, and multiphase buck converters.
• Advanced knowledge of DC/DC converter topologies, control theory, closed-loop compensation, and stability margin analysis.
• Experience with analog circuit modeling and simulation tools such as SIMPLIS and PSpice.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, electronic loads, function generators, schematic capture, and PCB design tools including OrCAD, Allegro, and Cadence.
• Competence in Python or C and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience automating laboratory equipment.
• Knowledge of Intel SVID, AMD SVI, PMBus, and AVSBus power management interfaces.
