Area Director, Regional Lead West - Oncology Clinical Educator (Oncology): Leading and developing a regional team of Oncology Clinical Nurse Educators across a specified U.S. geography with an accent on coaching, field execution, compliant education, and oncology expertise. Focus on hiring and mentoring educators, building territory and cross-functional strategies, and ensuring performance in hematology and oncology programs.

Location: United States; Chicago, Illinois. Field-based role with travel of up to 50%.

Salary: $244,039–$262,038 per year.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, train, and mentor a regional team of Oncology Clinical Nurse Educators.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, and retain qualified team members from diverse backgrounds.
  • Evaluate product knowledge, disease-state expertise, and understanding of the oncology marketplace.
  • Develop territory plans, educational strategies, and compliant field collaboration with sales, medical, and other customer-facing teams.
  • Partner with the National Director on annual goals, performance measures, and team execution.
  • Support career development and complete administrative oversight for the assigned team.

Requirements

  • A degree in nursing or equivalent experience is required.
  • Active RN or Advanced Practice license, such as Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist, is required.
  • Extensive hematology/oncology experience across clinical practice and pharmaceutical settings is required.
  • Experience in disease-state and product-related education is required; senior-level experience is preferred.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work cross-functionally.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% and a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, or equivalent transportation, are required.

  • Advanced nursing qualifications.
  • Pharmaceutical industry or people-management experience.
  • Oncology-specific certification.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database applications.
