Maintenance Intern (Industrial Engineering)

Location: Mexicali, Mexico; on-site availability required for 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Conduct reliability studies on existing equipment and machinery.
• Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and support preventive and predictive maintenance actions.
• Apply Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies to understand failure mechanisms.
• Collect, consolidate, categorize, and analyze data from Prodetiq and Power BI.
• Identify trends and improvement opportunities through equipment and maintenance data.
• Participate in RCA meetings and collaborate with Production and Engineering teams on reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's studies in progress in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
• Intermediate Excel knowledge and Microsoft Office skills.
• Intermediate English: ability to hold basic conversations and strong reading and writing skills.
• Expected graduation in July 2027 or later.
• Availability to work and commute to the Mexicali site throughout the internship program.
• Availability for the internship from January 2027 through June 2027.

• Knowledge of Power BI.

Hiring process
