Controls Intern (PLC)

Location: Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico; onsite five days a week

What you will do

• Support testing and validation of PLC-based control systems for turbomachinery applications.
• Test and troubleshoot HMI software.
• Assist with developing and reviewing electrical schematics and drawings.
• Document test results and report findings to the engineering team.
• Support control system commissioning, verification, optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering project execution.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or Electromechanical Engineering, with approximately one year remaining before graduation.
• Intermediate to advanced conversational English proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, independence, and willingness to learn industrial control systems and automation technologies.
