Data Governance Analyst

Location: Hybrid role in Toronto, Ontario, Canada; applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis.

Salary: CAD 84,250–95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage technical metadata repositories and business glossaries for global data assets.
• Profile datasets, measure data quality, identify anomalies and root causes, and support automated remediation workflows.
• Help implement data standards, naming conventions, classification policies, and governance processes.
• Analyze data incidents and define Critical Data Elements for property, transaction, and client records.
• Support migration from regional legacy databases to unified global platforms and identify automation opportunities.
• Build governance metrics and KPI dashboards, facilitate workshops, and develop training materials for data stewards.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in data governance, data quality management, or data analysis.
• Strong SQL skills and hands-on data profiling experience in a cloud-based data warehouse.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks, metadata management, data cataloguing, and data privacy principles including PIPEDA and GDPR.
• Experience configuring Google Cloud Dataplex and collaborating with data engineering and architecture teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Relevant data or technology certifications, such as CDMP.
• Experience with real estate terminology, process documentation, or workflow tools.
• Experience harmonizing data across multiple regions or lines of business.
