Multimodality Radiology Technologist I (CT/X-Ray)

What you will do

• Perform radiographic and CT scan procedures and produce images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners.
• Operate and maintain working knowledge of radiographic and CT equipment.
• Prepare and position patients for CT and X-ray procedures according to established manuals.
• Adjust technical factors based on the patient and body part while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Prepare and administer oral, intravenous, and rectal contrast media.
• Review patient charts for laboratory results and allergies before administering IV contrast, and follow radiation protection standards.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography, radiation therapy, or nuclear medicine technology program.
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy certification.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist certification.
• ARRT CT certification required within 24 months of hire.
• Obtain BLS qualification during orientation and maintain it throughout employment.
