Senior Underwriter - Lex London Property (US Property)

What you will do

• Maintain and develop a profitable book of US Property business underwritten from the London Market.
• Analyze and evaluate risks, exposures, coverage, exclusions, and loss assumptions for new and renewal submissions.
• Accept, decline, or modify risks and coverage conditions within delegated authority and underwriting guidelines.
• Develop pricing, negotiation strategies, terms and conditions, and deal structures with brokers and clients.
• Communicate US Property risk appetite and the North America Property value proposition to brokers and clients.
• Collaborate with distribution, territory managers, claims personnel, and other underwriting teams to grow the portfolio and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

• Significant US Property insurance leadership experience; extensive UK or international experience may also be considered.
• Expert technical underwriting background with experience handling highly complex assignments.
• Knowledge of market segmentation, portfolio management, acquisition, and distribution.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, conflict-resolution, sales, and negotiation skills.
• Established relationships with customers, brokers, and other intermediaries.
• Strong communication, presentation, organization, and collaboration skills in a rapidly changing environment.
