TL;DR
Supplier Dev Engineering - OSP (Special Processes): Developing, validating, and sustaining heat treatment, plating, chemical processing, welding, and coating processes with an accent on process capability, equipment qualification, and aerospace quality compliance. Focus on optimizing process parameters, conducting root-cause investigations, validating IQ/OQ/PQ activities, and improving supplier process robustness.

Location: Onsite in Bangalore, India

What you will do

  • Develop, define, optimize, and sustain special process parameters for heat treatment, plating, anodizing, passivation, and coating operations.
  • Conduct capability studies, DOE, and root-cause investigations to improve process robustness and reduce defects.
  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation, including IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
  • Interpret customer, OEM, AMS, ASTM, and industry specifications and establish process windows, control limits, and quality checkpoints.
  • Lead corrective actions and collaborate with Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Design Engineering, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Support supplier audits, technical reviews, manufacturability assessments, and process capability evaluations.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of NADCAP and aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise in heat treatment processes, including vacuum treatment, carburizing, nitriding, tempering, solutionizing, and aging.
  • Knowledge of electroplating, electroless plating, anodizing, passivation, phosphate coating, or similar processes.
  • Understanding of metallurgy, material properties, phase transformations, hardness, and corrosion.
  • Familiarity with PFMEA, control plans, MSA, SPC, DOE, and CAPA.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools and manufacturing documentation systems, plus strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Experience with metallurgical analysis and microstructure evaluation.
