Manufacturing Process Engineer (Electromechanical): Developing and industrializing assembly, calibration, and testing processes for new electromechanical products with an accent on design for manufacturability, equipment qualification, and production readiness. Focus on improving process capability, yield, cycle time, defects, and manufacturing costs while supporting product launches and high-volume production.

Location: Chennai, India; onsite, full-time

What you will do

  • Develop and adapt assembly, calibration, and testing processes for new and existing products.
  • Define production equipment specifications and coordinate with internal mechanization teams and equipment suppliers.
  • Support global new product development teams, sample lines, process development equipment, and product launches.
  • Influence product designs through Design for Manufacturing principles to enable economical, defect-free, and scalable production.
  • Qualify and debug high-volume assembly and test equipment or tooling, including process documentation, controls, and readiness activities.
  • Drive improvements in cycle time, defects, yield, process capability, and manufacturing costs with suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Requirements

  • University degree, such as a bachelor's degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing process development and New Product Introduction, including transitioning products from design to volume production.
  • Experience developing, qualifying, and industrializing assembly, calibration, and test processes for electromechanical products in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, equipment qualification, process validation, production readiness, work instructions, and control plans.
  • Strong communication, organization, planning, time management, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Experience with electromechanical products, sensors, automotive components, or related industrial products.
