RFSOI MOSFET Compact Modeling Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India; hybrid work with a minimum of three days per week from the Bangalore office

What you will do

• Develop, extract, calibrate, and validate compact SPICE models for bulk and SOI MOSFET technologies.
• Support compact model development and maintenance for customer-facing Process Design Kits.
• Analyze semiconductor device characterization data and correlate model accuracy with silicon measurements.
• Develop and optimize compact model extraction methodologies, automation, and tool flows.
• Contribute to RF MOSFET modeling, including high-frequency characterization and model validation.
• Collaborate with process integration, device engineering, characterization, and design enablement teams to resolve model-related issues.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a closely related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in semiconductor device modeling, characterization, or related research.
• Strong understanding of MOSFET device physics, bulk and SOI MOSFET technologies, and compact model extraction methodologies.
• Knowledge of PD-SOI, FD-SOI, and Dynamic Depleted SOI device concepts, semiconductor test structures, and model validation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills.
• English proficiency is required, and the role requires working from the Bangalore office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of BSIM family compact models and RF semiconductor technologies.
• Experience with SOI technology, semiconductor process development, electrical measurements, and device characterization.
• Programming experience with Python.
• Experience with Keysight IC-CAP or similar compact model extraction tools.
