Packaging R&D Co-op

Location: Glenview, IL or Warrendale, PA R&D Centers; hybrid work with at least three in-person days per week and up to two virtual days

Total compensation: $24,000 for the approximately six-month program

What you will do

• Complete real packaging projects across initiation, development, and launch stages.
• Qualify new packaging materials, molds, and related components.
• Design, test, and implement primary and secondary packaging solutions.
• Develop hypotheses, plan and execute testing procedures, analyze data, and form recommendations.
• Report project results to cross-functional teams and present the final project to North American R&D leadership.
• Support innovation, renovation, sustainability, productivity, operational efficiency, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Engineering, or a related major.
• Be in the junior or senior year during the co-op program.
• Be able to work in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, motivation, urgency, and willingness to learn.
• Maintain legal authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the program and any subsequent employment.
• Visa sponsorship is not available. Willingness to travel up to 30% may be required.
