Mental Health Clinical Faculty (PT) (Nursing)

Compensation: $1,120–$7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience

What you will do

• Mentor BSN nursing students in an inpatient mental health clinical setting.
• Implement the nursing curriculum, course objectives, and program outcomes through clinical teaching.
• Plan clinical experiences and directly supervise and evaluate students' nursing performance.
• Provide written assignments, timely grading, documented feedback, and remediation support.
• Coordinate with clinical-site personnel on policies, procedures, expectations, and student or agency concerns.
• Contribute to program development, assessment, retention efforts, simulation or skills-lab teaching, and college operations.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered New Mexico RN license required.
• Illinois RN license required to teach all courses; assignments are prioritized for faculty currently licensed in Illinois.
• Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
• At least two years of professional registered-nurse experience within the last five years in the area of instruction.
• Teaching experience is not required.
