VN Instructor (Nursing)

Location: Concord, California, USA; campus-based position with visits to clinical sites

Salary: $45–$61 per hour

What you will do

• Teach vocational nursing lecture content, laboratory instruction, and clinical rotations.
• Mentor students in classroom, lab, and clinical settings while supporting their skills development.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methodologies and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi, instructional guidelines, reports, and program documentation.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-off forms, clinical requirement files, and other student records.
• Participate in professional development, committees, and ongoing updates to nursing practice, technology, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse is required.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or credentials required by state regulations.
• Three years of nursing experience with a BSN or six years with an associate degree.
• Ability to meet faculty requirements set by the Board of Vocational Nursing.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice and clinical settings, communication skills, independence, and ability to manage nursing lab operations.

• ATI Certification; certification can be obtained within 60 days of hire through Unitek.
