TL;DR
Supplier Quality Technician (Marine Manufacturing): Supporting factory production by analyzing supplier quality data, inspecting and containing purchased components, and managing non-conforming materials with an accent on supplier collaboration, blueprint analysis, and quality compliance. Focus on evaluating component conformity, reducing production disruptions, and improving supplier and manufacturing processes through structured problem-solving.

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; on-premise. Infrequent travel of approximately 5% is required. Relocation is available.

Salary: $54,300–$75,400 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

  • Execute tactical supplier quality activities with suppliers across the global supply base.
  • Maintain, analyze, and report supplier quality data and communicate quality impacts to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Evaluate supplied components against engineering specifications before production release.
  • Coordinate material containment, inspections, sorting, and disposition of non-conforming components.
  • Support continuous improvement by defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling supplier and production quality processes.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma in quality, industrial engineering, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, or a quality engineering environment.
  • Working knowledge of blueprint analysis and basic GD&T.
  • Knowledge of basic quality tools and problem-solving techniques.
  • Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

  • Experience in engine or engine component manufacturing or assembly.
  • ASQ CQT certification or higher.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training with project experience.
