System (Linux) Admin

Compensation: USD 80,000–85,000 yearly

What you will do

• Configure, maintain, and provide user support for Atlassian Jira and Confluence servers.
• Install, rebuild, configure, migrate, and maintain Linux and Windows servers, hardware, peripherals, storage, and services.
• Manage VMware, KVM, NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure Storage, Cisco, Mellanox, Foreman, GLPI, Jenkins, Git, and LDAP environments.
• Support infrastructure automation, system standards, security posture, patching, monitoring, backups, archival, and recovery operations.
• Provide Tier III support, investigate incidents, troubleshoot hardware and software failures, and coordinate with vendors and technical stakeholders.
• Perform performance tuning, hardware upgrades, resource optimization, and after-hours or weekend support when required.

Requirements

• 7+ years of system administration experience in Linux environments.
• Strong VMware administration and management skills, including Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git, and DevOps tool administration.
• Experience with shell scripting, cron jobs, log analysis, user and group management, iptables, mail services, and security patch compliance.
• Experience managing network equipment, preferably Cisco, and configuring reverse proxies, SSL certificates, HTTP services, and three-tier architectures.
• CompTIA Security+ or another DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II-compliant certification, or equivalent experience, is required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and move servers between data centers, colocation facilities, and labs.

Nice to have

• CompTIA Linux+, RHCSA, or RHCE certification.
• Experience configuring EDA tools and FlexLM licenses.
