Focus on coordinating check-in and check-out workflows, maintaining confidential medical records, and managing scheduling changes in a high-interaction clinical environment.

Location: San Antonio, Texas, onsite at the 5206 Research Drive clinic. Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, with eight working hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

What you will do

  • Greet patients and visitors, complete check-in, and notify clinical staff of patient arrivals.
  • Provide, collect, verify, and file patient paperwork while updating demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect co-pays and outstanding balances, issue receipts, and complete patient check-out.
  • Answer, screen, and route calls and messages between patients and clinical staff.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and document appointments, cancellations, and missed visits.
  • Maintain charts, forms, office supplies, and an orderly lobby while following patient privacy and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • At least five years of front medical office receptionist experience with insurance forms and scheduling software for the senior level.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with insurance forms and medical scheduling software.
  • Ability to complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of starting.
  • Ability to work onsite in San Antonio and regularly interact with patients and staff; occasional lifting or moving of up to 30 pounds is required.
