Senior Manager, Automation Engineering

Location: Onsite at the Logistics Home Office in Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Annual salary: $110,000–$220,000, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Lead the design, integration, and optimization of automation systems for supply chain operations.
• Partner with internal and external software teams to deliver required functionality on schedule.
• Use data analysis, statistical methods, and visualization tools to generate insights for strategic decisions.
• Identify automation opportunities, resolve technical challenges, and drive workflow improvements across functions.
• Manage project timelines, risks, resources, and implementation activities.
• Evaluate automation investments and oversee financial analyses against return-on-investment targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field plus at least two years of experience in engineering, supply chain, or a related area; alternatively, four years of relevant experience.
• Experience designing, integrating, and developing control systems for automation in complex operational environments.
• Proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and visualization tools.
• Strong project management skills, including risk assessment, contingency planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, mechatronics principles, process improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.

• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering.
