Senior Transit Architecture

Location: Empire State Building, New York, New York; onsite

Salary: $149,671.54–$171,053.19 per year

What you will do

• Coordinate architectural and engineering teams throughout the full project life cycle, from initial design through construction documentation.
• Develop architectural plans, layouts, construction details, specifications, material selections, and technical solutions for transit stations and related facilities.
• Perform design analysis, planning studies, code analysis, site investigations, and construction inspections.
• Lead and coach architectural staff while planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing project work.
• Review shop drawings and Requests for Information as part of construction administration.
• Serve as a quality control reviewer and ensure compliance with standards, codes, and established architectural practices.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Architecture; an M.Arch is preferred.
• 15+ years of experience as a project architect in the rail or transit sector.
• Required experience in transportation-sector projects and transit architecture, including stations and related facilities.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent design, technical detailing, verbal presentation, and visual presentation skills.
• New York State registered architect license is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenBuildings, Rhino, 3ds Max, or SketchUp.
• LEED accreditation.
