Analytical Services Associate (Food Science)

Salary: $57,400–$74,600 annually, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Perform laboratory experiments using standard techniques and equipment.
• Coordinate internal and external testing of ingredients and finished products, including shelf-life studies.
• Process, organize, analyze, and report experimental data using scientific, spreadsheet, word-processing, and statistical software.
• Write and revise raw-material specifications and laboratory or department SOPs.
• Maintain and clean laboratory equipment, order supplies, and process related orders or invoices.
• Gather supplier documentation, respond to ingredient questions, and collaborate with departments, suppliers, vendors, staff, and students.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in the food or chemical industry.
• At least 2 years of analytical or microbiology experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, accountable, and able to work independently while adapting to changing priorities.
• Approximately 10% travel is required.
