Transportation Specialist

Location: Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Monitor domestic and international shipments subject to security regulations and maintain compliance with recordkeeping, reporting, tolling, and expiration requirements.
• Maintain export records for ITAR hardware, technical data, and defense services, including jurisdiction determinations and internal correspondence.
• Perform license determinations, apply license exceptions and exemptions, and file license applications when required.
• Conduct new-customer screening and denied-party checks for new partners, and ensure partner information is accurately maintained.
• Develop and deliver training on basic and specialized security requirements, while monitoring relevant legislation, case law, and Bureau of Industry and Security updates.
• Investigate process-improvement opportunities, track key performance metrics, and maintain electronic and hard-copy records.

Requirements

• Less than two years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience providing comparable knowledge and job skills.
• Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices, and standards.
• Ability to develop solutions for defined tasks using established approaches and exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to collaborate with management and department team members.
