Transportation Specialist (Export Compliance)

What you will do

• Monitor domestic and international shipments subject to security regulations and ensure compliance with recordkeeping, reporting, tolling, and expiration requirements.
• Maintain export records for ITAR hardware, technical data, and defense services, including jurisdiction determinations and internal correspondence.
• Perform license determinations, apply exceptions and exemptions, and file license applications when required.
• Conduct customer screening and Denied Party Check reviews for new partners, maintaining accurate partner information in company systems.
• Develop or deliver training on security requirements and monitor relevant legislation, case law, and Bureau of Industry and Security updates.
• Investigate process improvement opportunities, maintain compliance records, and report on key performance metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically less than two years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Foundational knowledge of specialized disciplines, industry practices, and standards.
• Ability to develop solutions for defined tasks using established approaches.
• Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and collaborate with management and department colleagues.
