What you will do

• Install electrical components and assemble control cabinets, electrical equipment, and related industrial apparatus.
• Lay out back panels according to drawing packages and drill or tap mounting holes using hand tools and a drill press.
• Read electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, mechanical layouts, and project drawings.
• Install wire ducts, DIN rail, power supplies, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, logic controllers, drives, and other control equipment.
• Crimp, screw, bolt, or press-fit components and connect, route, comb, twist, wrap, and secure wires to terminals and contact points.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams is strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, basic math skills, and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to safely learn and operate assorted power and hand tools.
• Average manual dexterity, color differentiation, small-print reading, and number comparison are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit or stand for up to 95% of working hours.
