Compliance Specialist, Control Room

hirify.global operates a growing trading business in Asia and manages regulatory and market restrictions across its trading activities.

What you will do

• Run restriction processes end to end, including evaluating affected names, applying and lifting restrictions, and maintaining records.
• Advise traders, Business Development, and other stakeholders on the practical impact of live restrictions.
• Own and update policies and procedures as the business, systems, and regulations change.
• Handle sanctions and government-driven trading restrictions and monitor relevant regulatory changes.
• Support surveillance, look-back reviews, information barriers, and clean-room arrangements involving MNPI.
• Continue building and evolving the Hong Kong control room function.

Requirements

• 7+ years of compliance experience at a financial institution, including substantial control room, capital markets compliance, or restricted-list experience.
• Practical familiarity with wall crossings, information barriers, and MNPI controls.
• Ability to make judgment and escalation decisions under time pressure.
• Strong written communication skills for producing policy and procedure documentation.
• Strong verbal communication skills for liaising with traders and translating trading flows into compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with APAC regulatory frameworks, especially Hong Kong and China, and sanctions regimes affecting global trading; fluent English required.
