Senior Consultant, Compliance (FX)

What you will do

• Provide compliance advisory support to the APAC FX business across Singapore, Australia, and China.
• Manage monitoring and surveillance activities, governance reporting, regulatory requests, and compliance documentation.
• Assess regulatory requirements against existing controls, identify risks and gaps, and recommend procedural changes.
• Support regulatory change implementation, consultation responses, industry engagement, and compliance interactions.
• Implement regional and global compliance programs, including monitoring, testing, assurance frameworks, and action plans.
• Develop policies, procedures, training, and compliance-related projects while working with legal, risk, and regional compliance teams.

Requirements

• Previous FX experience, preferably in a global financial institution with sales or trading desk advisory exposure.
• Knowledge of Asia FX regulations, including MAS requirements and relevant Singaporean, Korean, Australian, and Chinese law.
• Understanding of FX derivatives regulations, trade reporting, trade booking, settlement, confirmations, and ASIC derivative transaction reporting obligations.
• Experience supporting compliance operations, business changes, and new product launches, with knowledge of the MAS Cross Border Exemption framework.
• Exposure to CFTC Swap Dealer compliance requirements for FX and strong financial industry knowledge.
• Fluent English, strong organisation and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with regional and global stakeholders.

• Knowledge of global market conduct guidelines such as the Global FX Code and MAS Blue Book.
