What you will do

• Escort patients and support patient flow between exam, physician, and treatment rooms.
• Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient data.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures, including delegated subcutaneous and intramuscular injections.
• Prepare, stock, disinfect, and maintain exam and treatment rooms.
• Obtain patient records and support referrals, prescription calls, rescheduling, and no-show follow-up.
• Perform clerical and reception duties, including scheduling support, chart preparation, typing, filing, and faxing.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or an EMT or CNA qualification with one year of direct-care experience for the Clinical Assistant track.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Two to three years of relevant experience.
• Ability to handle and lift patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to work in an oncology and hematology clinic environment with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and medical preparations.

Nice to have

• Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential.
• Outpatient surgery experience.
