Fabrication Operator

Location: Millington, MD, US; full-time, onsite manufacturing work

Compensation: $14.80–$27.50 per hour

What you will do

• Assemble and install metal building structures, including walls, roofs, sheet metal, fiber insulation, and foam board insulation.
• Install doors, windows, panels, framing, and other structural or mechanical components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and detailed work instructions.
• Verify materials and hardware for completeness before shipment and prepare finished assemblies for transport.
• Safely operate forklifts, man lifts, small tools, grinders, drills, and other material-handling equipment.
• Coordinate with leads, supervisors, and team members to meet production schedules while maintaining an organized and safe work area.

Requirements

• Experience in construction, carpentry, drywall, general construction, insulation, or a related hands-on trade.
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly, installation processes, and hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and detailed work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently bend and kneel, and occasionally climb or reposition as required.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. consistently in a manufacturing environment.
