0.8 FTE RN Care Coordinator (Oncology)

Salary: $40–$60 per hour

What you will do

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care for oncology patients.
• Assess patient health status, medical history, laboratory and radiographic data, and psychosocial needs.
• Provide patient and family education, instructional materials, and psychosocial support.
• Manage medication refill requests, triage patient calls, assist with examinations and procedures, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Coordinate consultations, diagnostic tests, referrals, appointments, community resources, and communication with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Support clinical research, mentor less experienced nurses, provide coverage for satellite offices, and maintain current oncology nursing knowledge.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and compliance with continuing education requirements.
• At least five years of nursing experience, including at least one year of oncology experience.
• Ability to provide nursing care for adolescent, adult, middle-aged, and elderly patients while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.
