Federal Tax Services Intern – Winter 2028

Location: Austin, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required

Salary: $34–$40 per hour

What you will do

• Work on a team serving a range of federal tax specialty areas.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Develop an understanding of tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Travel to assigned client locations as required.

Requirements

• Complete at least 90 credit hours.
• Work toward a B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, at an accredited university.
• Major in Accounting.
• Have access to and be able to arrange reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• Entry-level candidates requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future are not eligible.

Nice to have

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively on a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
